for Solo Alto, Solo Tenor and Wind Quartet (2015)
As part of Occupation: Five songs that shook the world, Daniel-Wyn was asked to set the opinions and protests submitted by the public through the project website to music.
The aims to emulate other protest songs with its simple verse-chorus structure and driving rhythms. It is Daniel-Wyn's hope that he merely presents the idealologies of others rather than being an overbearing presence in the work. Allowing the people's words to speak for themselves.
Many thanks go to all who helped with this project.
Performed and recorded by the Welsh National Opera with accompanying visuals by Tim Hopkins.
