As part of Occupation: Five songs that shook the world, I was asked to set the opinions and protests submitted by the public through the project website to music.
The piece aims to emulate other protest songs with its simple verse-chorus structure and driving rhythms. It is my hope that I merely present the idealologies of others rather than being an overbearing presence in the work myself. Allowing the people's words to speak for themselves.
Many thanks go to all who helped with this project at the WNO and Ty Cerdd.
