Chamber Concerto for Trio

for Viola, Oboe and Harp (2011)

Each movement treats one of the instrumentalists as a soloist in a concerto. The first acts as a concerto for viola, the second for oboe, the third for harp and the final movement treats each instrument with equal importance very much in the same a concerto grosso might. Each movement aims to highlight the characteristics and colours Daniel-Wyn most enjoys from these instruments.
